Shaner Cabahug

Hi, I’m Shaner Allen Cabahug, and I’m thrilled to be a high school math teacher at West Fargo Public Schools in my first year here. With 14 years of teaching experience—three years in the Philippines and a decade in The Bahamas—I’ve developed a deep passion for not just teaching math, but also empowering my students to reach their full potential as individuals. I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Cebu, Philippines, where my love for mathematics began. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and a Master of Education in Mathematics from Cebu Normal University. I recently completed my Master’s in Educational Leadership at Miami University in January 2024, which has equipped me with new insights to inspire and lead my students. Beyond the classroom, I have a strong commitment to service. I joined the U.S. Navy Reserves in May 2023, and I’m proud to be a member of the North Dakota Military Funeral Honors Team. These experiences have enriched my life and taught me the importance of dedication, discipline, and community. I believe that education is about more than just academics; it’s about building relationships and supporting each other’s growth. I’m excited to continue this journey with my students and make a positive impact in their lives, both in and out of the classroom.
